Yeerongpilly is a residential and industrial suburb in the City of Brisbane. It is located approximately 7 kilometres south of the Brisbane Central Business District. As of 2016, the suburb of Yeerongpilly had a population nearly 2,000. The size of Yeerongpilly is 2.7 sq. km.

The name Yeerongpilly came from the two Aboriginal words 'yarung' which means sandy and 'pilly' meaning watercourse.

The first place where early settlers lived was Rocky Water Holes, known today as Rocklea. It is where the Crown Inn and a Methodist church were constructed in 1862 and 1863, respectively. In 1867, the Yeerongpilly Provisional School was established in the area.

In 1896, a 36-hole private golf club named Brisbane Golf Club was established. It includes facilities like shops and a driving range.

In accordance with the 2011 Australian census, Yeerongpilly's median age was 33 years, 4 years below the national median. 78.5% of the Yeerongpilly population was composed of people who used the English language as they communicate at home.
