Pool builders Annerley, Brisbane

Annerley is a suburb situated in the City of Brisbane. It is located 2.5 mi S of Brisbane central business district. As of 2016, the suburb had a population of more than 11,000 people living in the area.

The area of Annerley was originally used for the production of dairy. Around 1880, a post office was established in the suburb. On the 1st of May 1882, the post office changed its name to Boggo Post Office.

In 1888, the Thompson Estate Provisional School was established. It is a four-roomed cottage located in Oxford Street with 52 pupils, to accomodate the increasing number of students; the institution occupied a hall in Regent Streets and converted it into classrooms. In 1891, it became a state school and changed its name to Junction Park State School in 1893.

There are 25 heritage-listed sites in the suburb. One of these is the Annerley Army Reserve Depot that was constructed from 1914 to 1954. On the 7th day of February 2005, it was added to the list of Queensland Heritage Register.

This suburb is held under the Federal Division of Griffith and Moreton. The areas neigbouring suburbs are Dutton Park, Woolloongabba, Greenslopes, Tarragindi, Moorooka, Yeronga and Fairfield.
