Home to more than 11,000 citizens, Camp Hill is one of the suburbs in Brisbane. Camp Hill is just a short six-kilometre drive from Brisbane's CBD and was given such a name by teamsters that used to camp in the southern part of the suburb while traveling between the City of Brisbane and the locality called Cleveland.

Back in the 1860s, there was a strong farming community in Camp Hill. The following decade, the White family bought 53 acres of land on what is now known as White's Hill, the name of a locality near Camp Hill. It is the joiner in the name of Robert White that continued the farming industry in the area, growing cows and pigs. During the 1920s, White built his trademark estate on the summit of the hill which was eventually turned into an observatory.

The Camp Hill housing boom started expanding during the 1880s with notable people establishing some of the suburb's most historical spots. Isaac Bennett's rose farms, John and Thirza Zahe's vineyards, and orchards, and the Fiveash family's dairy and fruit farm were just some of the examples of these historical establishments.

During the Second World War, a hospital operated by US troops was built in Camp Hill. The hospital looked after thousands of patients and has thousands of staff. This same site is now the area where the streets Arrol, Errey, Ascham, Morven, Aubrey, and Arrowsmith can be seen following the same street pattern in the US.
