Holland Park is home to more than 8,000 people. Neighbouring the suburbs of Greenslopes, Coorparoo, Carina Heights, Mount Gravatt East, and Holland Park West, Holland Park is one of Brisbane's suburbs comprised of mostly residential spaces.

The name Holland Park was from the owner of an estate built within the area during the 1880s, a man named Julius Holland. Holland bought the land on speculation, only to sell it in 1882. The entire area where the estate was built plus the immediate areas near the estate became the Holland Park we know today.

Much like its neighbouring suburbs, Holland Park's commercial areas can be seen near Logan Road. There are a lot of schools and parks in Holland Park, most of its citizens also hang out around retail shops and bars in the suburb. Holland Park is also the home to Queensland's oldest crematorium, the Mount Thompson Crematorium.

Holland Park is home to various schools including the Seville Road State School, the Holland Park State School, and the St Joachim's Catholic Primary School. These schools accommodate to students from Prep beyond ensuring primary and secondary education to the citizens of Holland Park.
